Copper was the first metal in the history of our culture, which, in addition to its military use, gained, from the moment of its discovery, a special place in human’s daily life.
For the Egyptians it symbolized eternal life, health and prosperity. Hippocrates treated open wounds and skin problems with copper, while it was also used by Romans, Aztecs, Persians, Indians and Mongols. Throughout later human history, it has been sought after as a protective and healing tool thanks to its unique properties.

Today, the beneficial effect of copper has been certified in important scientific studies, while at the same time scientific and journalistic articles highlight its use as a shield against microbes.
